Review: Little D – Lil D

The Little D album called Lil D – Lil D has that crossover appeal due to that pop rap sound. No Limit was influenced by the crossover market during that time. Even though Little D is a rapper, he leaned towards that pop sound. XL, C-Los, Master P, Silkk, and Lil Romeo were responsible for the production of his debut album.

The Little D album called Lil D – Lil D was supposed to be Little D’s second solo album on the No Limit label which was scheduled to be released in 2002. However that date got pushed back to some time in 2003 because of the focus on Lil Romeo at the time as Lil Romeo’s career was a top priority for the label. As a result of his popularity, Lil Romeo’s album was released before Lil D’s album.

The Little D album called Lil D – Lil D was first advertised in the album Choppa – Straight From The N.O. and was also advertised in the COMING SOON section of the album Magic – White Eyes back in 2003.

Not many people know this but Little D/Lil D (Donavin Hogan) is Lil Romeo’s who is from Houston, Texas. He and Romeo were tour mates during the early part of the 21st century. That’s the reason why Lil Romeo is all over his album. That’s also the reason why Little D was all over Lil Romeo’s sophomore album Game Time. Little D is also Silkk The Shocker’s nephew. These days Lil D goes by D The Business.

Clap Your Hands (Clap Yo Hands) is a silly children’s song with quirky synths and pads performed by Lil Romeo and Little D. The song is a duo. Clap Your Hands (Clap Yo Hands) was used on Lil Romeo’s 2002 album Game Time.

So if you like Lil Romeo, Little D, No Limit, and Master P, clap your hands. Little D loves ballin and flossin. He is not one for talking. He shops often. He has been in love ballin ever since started crawling. Girls calling while he’s performing. Little D is hot now. So he’s come here to shake the spot. Little D is in the 6th grade but you know he’s got bank. He rolls with a tank. Platinum iced out from his neck and wrist. He’s got a couple of candy girls that laid the zone. When the school bell rings, you know it’s on.

Play Like Us was recorded during the time Little D’s Meet Me At The Playground album was being recorded but was used on Lil Romeo’s Game Time album since he wrote a majority of the song. The song had featured Lil Romeo, Lil D, and Tyron. Play Like Us was Number 1 on the Billboard Charts for a while back in 2002. Play Like Us was played on a Static Shock episode called “Romeo In The Mix”. The song was also used seasons 1 and 2 of of The Romeo! Show.

All the girls gonna be at the playground where Lil Romeo and Lil D are So y’all know where they’re gonna be at. Holla. If you feeling Richie Rich play with the girlies screaming every day. And you can play your ice this way. But can they hate? No way.

Lil Romeo was the youngest solider from the No Limit tank who had got the game fitted with The New No Limit back in 2002. The Game Time album kept the No Limit tank afloat. From Romie Rome to Richie Rich. Don’t talk about dough ’cause he been had it. Learn the game quick and ya’ll know who the teacher is. He is number 1 on the Billboard Charts. Lil Romeo is half kid half amazing.

There ain’t too many players that could hang with Lil Romeo, Lil D, and Tryon. When they step up on the scene they are looking marvelous. All the haters say they ain’t old enough. When the beat go just throw your hands up. Better hold on tight cause we about to bust. All the girlies rushing up to the cadillac truck. Richie Rich and Tyron, can you dig it?

Lil Romeo knows about cars and clothes. He paid the cost to be the boss in this music game. Lil Romeo is from the South. So he bites like a gator. Another year passed so his game got greater. Court side seats for the Sixers and the Lakers. Check out the wrist ice big like a blazer. The kid got flavor. He’s where you wanna be. You can’t stop him.

Little D is in the 6th grade but you know he’s got bank. He rolls with a tank. Platinum iced out from his neck and wrist. He’s got a couple of candy girls that laid the zone. When the school bell rings, you know it’s on.

[Lil D]
Call Lil D and I roll wit a tank
I’m in the sixth grade but you know I got bank
Platinum iced out when I roll the fees
Yo when the school bell ring baby roll wit me
Chrome wheeling standing pink baby sittin on chrome
Iced out from my neck and my wrist all
Two Way Lil Romeo and you know it’s on
Got a couple candy girls that laid the zone

Bobblehead was a song memorable for its catchy lyrics and horns. The chorus is no exception. Everything about this song from the beats to the synths, horns, and pads along with lyrics screams mid-2000s. You can hear the influence Southern rap, pop rap, and children’s music have on this song. Bobblehead was the catchy lead single for his 2004 album Romeoland.

The song is memorable for its catchy lyrics and horns. The chorus is no exception. The catchy lyrics to the chorus which went like this.

[Chorus]
I didn’t come to run, I came to make you move
Take it to the floor, and act a fool
Shake it, shake it, shake it like a bobblehead
Shake it, shake it, shake it like a bobblehead

Now Lil Romeo does use some kid friendly lyrics in the song such as “You got ants in your pants and you need to dance Bounce up and down like a rubberband”

Here are some of the catchy lyrics that were used in the song.

Work ya body, move your feet
Bounce it like a ball, shake it to the beat

Go shorty, it’s your birthday
Like you school bell ring on the first day
Move it like a fly girl

You got ants in your pants and you need to dance
Bounce up and down like a rubberband

Lil Romeo didn’t come to run. He came to make you move. So take it to the floor and act a fool. Shake it, shake it, shake it like a bobblehead.

Romeo’s in the house and the party is pumpin’. The crowd is jumpin’. Everyone is ecstatic. Work your body and move your feet. Bounce it like a ball and shake it to the beat. Go shorty, it’s your birthday. Like you school bell ring on the first day. Move it like a fly girl.

Lil D is in here. You know that his wrist glow. If you came to party, shorty, you and Lil D can take it to the floor. If your girl wants to leave, Lil D suggests you let her go. So you better stay in line.

Making moves like a rollercoaster. Lean low then shake them shoulders. But first, you gotta bounce to this. Lil D’s chain so icy even his diamonds got diamonds. Lil D was born to be a soldier and has got a heart of a lion. No Limit don’t mess with no fakers. They’ll make you lose your squad like the LA Lakers.

Lil Romeo is just chillin and them girls are partying. He is trying to see if they can move like Indians. You know work it a little bit. Dip it low a little bit like Christina Milian. Lil Romeo is like 50 and Young Buck because he always roll with banks. So you know what’s up.

If you don’t like Lil Romeo, then you not with him. But its most likely that he’s got the tank with him all over the globe, He is a coast to coast G. A living legend like Mike and Kobe. If you don’t know then don’t speak about him. His flow too sick and too hard to fix. You’ll probably need some medical attention for this.

Lil Romeo pays homage and tribute to The Notorious B.I.G. with these lyrics in Verse 1. “Girl you looking cute, you came to dance/I’m like Biggie, baby give me one more chance”

I rate this album 3/5***.

The New No Limit Records Unreleased Album! (Episode 8) Silkk The Shocker – Change The Game

Season 2 Of No Limit Records Unreleased Series, joined by Mixerr Reviews

Review: 504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’

The 504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ album was a ghetto guttar album with explicit lyrics from the streets of New Orleans, Louisiana. The 504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ album was a family affair all right. In fact some of the rappers including his own son outshine Master P. Unfortunately for Master P, his own son outshines his father on each song that he is featured on such as Ghetto Ballin and Back On Top.

The album cover for 504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ was designed by the legendary graphic design firm Pen N Pixel. They were responsible for designing the wonderful album cover. They used the standard all caps in all capital letters.

504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ was one of The New No Limit Records albums that was supposed to be released by The New No Limit Records on the date of June 18, 2002. However that album never released as originally planned and intended. Or released on the intended release date.

The 504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ album was first advertised in the 2000 album Snoop Dogg – Tha Last Meal next to the order form. The album was originally supposed to be released on April 24, 2000. However this did not happen as Master P wanted to rebrand No Limit Records and change his style.

The original cover design for Ghetto Ballin’.

The 504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ album was later advertised in the 2001 compilation album West Coast Bad Boyz : Poppin Collars in the COMING SOON section with Magic’s album and Lil Romeo’s second album with a release date for June 18, 2002. However that did not happen for whatever the reason(s) might have been. However that The 504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ album released on a different release date from the intended original release date with a in a totally different style with a revamped sound.

Here is what happened to the 504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ album.

504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ was intended to be a ghetto guttar album with explicit lyrics from the streets of New Orleans, Louisiana. However Universal Records had Master P tone down the subject material on the album because they thought the music was too explicit to release and distribute on their label. This caused the release date to be pushed back and have the album title 504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ renamed to the more commercial sounding 504 Boyz – Ballers album instead.

Some of the songs that were recorded for the 504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ album such as War, Get Back, Everywhere I Go, Holla, and Who Run This were used on the 504 Boyz – Ballers album. The songs containing gangsta rap remain unreleased.

The 504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ album was released as the commercialized 504 Boyz – Ballers album on December 10, 2002. This was the same album that had the pop rap hit Tight Whips. That album was completely different from the 504 Boyz – Ghetto Ballin’ album. Master P shifted towards releasing albums with more of a commercial pop rap sound from him, Lil Romeo, and 504 Boyz.

Everywhere I Go is about how people are always constantly asking Curren$y questions. Curren$y has to deal with haters and naysayers everywhere he goes. All because he flows so tight. Ezell Swang produced Everywhere I Go which was used on the 2002 album 504 Boyz – Ballers.

A lot of niggas are saying they don’t like Curren$y because he flows so tightly, His wrist wear glows so brightly. But Curren$y ain’t gonna quit. Niggas know he goes hard in the paint. He won’t settle for shit.

You might see Curren$y on the block pull up in a 720′ Bentley with a drop or doing donuts in a Viper. He probably won’t quit until he burns the grip off his tires.

Curren$y is going to take a vacation with a couple of honeys on the yacht today. And later on tonight. Curren$y is the don of this rap shit. His album is going platinum. Y’all niggas is going double plastic. Shit will get tragic if one of you fools choose to make him use his automatic. You don’t want to hear the sounds of click-clack-blow. He is here to show you how he gets down.

Now everywhere he goes people ask constantly ask him questions such as where he lives for. He tells the people who ask him questions, “Money, hoes and clothes is all a nigga know. And when I get my chips, you know what I’m a go and get. A house and kicks. And a couple of whips.”

Now when he pulls up niggas running like Trans cars. That’ll buck backwards in a black Jaguar. You niggas is actors. Hot Spitter is the truth. Curren$y sets fire to the mic, when he step in the booth of the recording studio. There is no one like Curren$y around town in New Orleans, Louisiana.

You don’t want none of Curren$y because he is the man. Why do you niggas want to rhyme like Curren$y? You can’t spit like you lost just a life or a grand. Watch the women run behind his jeep when he leaves the recording studio. Now peep him. Stay smooth and calm.

With Me was a duo track with Choppa and Curren$y. Master P featured on this track also.

Now Choppa be marching like a soldier with No Limit army right behind him. On that Westbank is where you might find him. He’s all about getting that dolla. mHe can pull a Prada model, t-shirt holla wobble wobble. Later during the beginning of the song is where Choppa is at the club. He pops a bottle at the bar. The henny is turning green after being mixed.

We in the club pop a bottle, at the bar
Tell your girl stop tripping, she could holla at a star
Hypnotic in the car, is all I need to get mean
We could mix it
Like one say, left to the right right, to the left left, to the right
Let me see you bounce with me, East to the West
North to the South, back to the house, come blow a ounce with me

[Hook – 2x]
All my soldiers with me (yeah)
All my whodis with me (yeah)
If you hustle hard for a nigga praying (yeah)
My soldierettes with me (yeah)
My independent women (yeah)
Them hoes hatin’ cause you looking good (hell yeah)

Things gets wild like New Orleans during Mardi Gras on the second verse. Read the lyrics below.:

Everybody throw your dranks up, soldiers throw your tanks up
Hit the flo’, wild out, everybody drink something
It’s your set, throw it up, show me where the fuck you from
What you drinking mix it with this, hit this weed and have some fun
Girls got they butts up, y’all know what’s up
We drinking this straight out the bottle, whodi put them cups up
I’m from the home of the Queen, that they call Anna

Who’s up next? Curren$y is! Curren$y came to represent New Orleans, Louisiana. He at gets a chance to showcase his lyrical skills. He showcases his lyrical abilities and skills with his rhymes.

Curren$y pulls up in a big truck on a set of twenty three’s (23 inch rims aka 23’s). He has $20,000 of cash in the pocket of his P. Miller jeans. Playa hatas are mad as they wish they could rid of him. He is always on the radio. He keeps the burner with him as he never on the streets without it. The women form a crowd around the limo as Curren$y hops out it.

And my money hell-a-long, cause I just got a check from P
Huh bitches to Hot Spitter, you fuck around if you want
And watch how quick a nigga, send you to the hospital
Stick this baretta to your braids, me and my soldiers
Sticking together like Franky Beverly and me

These lyrics showed how Curren$y was the hot spitta. “And my money hell-a-long, cause I just got a check from P/Huh bitches to Hot Spitter, you fuck around if you want”

Afficial explains why you don’t want to go to war with them on the self-explanatory track called War.

Y’all don’t wanna war with Afficial. When there’s beef, best believe they bust. Afficial can take it how you want it because they are thuggin over here. Pure, uncut, and raw butter over here.

The rap game was getting better this year. They done put P with Afficial which is something better in here. Afficial is in a league of their own. Something which is out of their price range and is not in their budget. You know they can’t spend that amount of money. You know it ain’t too hard to tell that every member of Afficial street team ain’t too far from jail. Members of Afficial are all quarterbacks and y’all gotta receive it.

Desperado writes his rhymes in the kitchen because his balls are cooking. He used to fuck average bitches and now the stars are looking. Niggas are scared and shook. He can tell by observing their faces

Desperado goes to court. The judge is dropping the case against Desperado. At least for now. Desperado’s name spread like the shells in the gauge. That’s why they can’t believe it. But they don’t catch that until a year later. Plus this burner to your head might make you lose your mind.

[Desperado]
I write my rhymes in the kitchen cuz my balls is cookin
Used to fuck average bitches now the stars is looking
Niggas scared and they shook, I can tell by their face
Cuz we hard to figure out, like the lock to a safe
I go to court the judge dropping the case
No blood as soon as I kill a nigga then I’m moppin the place
And I’m quick to pop the 8, that’s just how I was raised
Desperado, name spread like the shells in the gauge
And age the major reason why they can’t believe it
But we all quarterbacks and y’all gotta receive it
But they don’t catch it till a year later
Minds kill, niggas lost so they gotta catch up like Hossfield
Your team don’t squeeze, guess what, mines will
Or stop till there’s a million a show like Seinfield
Plus we got the skill for this, any proven time
But this burner to your head, make you lose your mind nigga

S-Flames can feel the girls on his nuts about those Rolls and drops. Now it’s hard to get her off like a Heineken top. He’s got ten young boys on the block with them quarters. Nowadays he washes his car with spring water. You fucked up comin strong with the GOAT. If the Liberty Bell rung, it wouldn’t stop this fight. Get buck like Bugsy and his men go hard all night. Game over. Afficial in here.

S-Flames uses some clever wordplay here with these lyrics. “Why you just try to send your man to merc me/You can’t get rid of Flames, nickname is herpes”

This is the part of the song where things suddenly get dark. “See me face to face chump, watch me beat you like my son” These lyrics are highly disturbing and unsettling.

The song Ghetto Ballin’ was one of those bragging rights songs where Master P and the No Limit family are bragging and thuggin’ trying to get being back on top of the music industry which actually worked for a few of years until the bankruptcy in 2006. Unfortunately for Master P, his own son outshines his father on the song. The song was actually commercial sounding despite being on a ghetto guttar album with gangsta rap.

Back On Top is basically the same thing as the titular Ghetto Ballin’. Back On Top was another one of those bragging rights songs where Master P and the No Limit family are bragging and thuggin’ trying to get being back on top of the music industry. Unfortunately for Master P, his own son outshines his father on the song. Lil Romeo shows his new style on the song Back On Top. The song was actually commercial sounding unsurprisingly. The beats and lyrics are radio friendly.

The song What has that rough aggressive edge of street rap. This song is perfect to lift weights to. Too bad not a lot of people know about this song. The song had the old school down south flava.

I rate this album 5/5*****!

Review: Romeo – Gumbo Station

Romeo – Gumbo Station was one of the lesser known albums from Guttar Music, Take A Stand Records, and No Limit Records. R&B singer Bobby Valentino produced songs for the album while Myke Diesel and Master P oversaw management for the entire album. R&B singer Bobby Valentino worked as a producer with Romeo on the album Gumbo Station. Bobby Valentino had already collaborated with Romeo on the soundtrack of his movie God’s Gift back in 2006. The album also included production by Dr. Dre. Pop rap meets Southern rap and gutta street rap on this album.

The album was his second collaboration with his brother Valentino Miller. A lot of different artists made appearances on the album. Master P even raps on the album. He mentioned on his MySpace page that Gumbo Station is going to be his best album yet. Romeo had a feeling and an instinct that his Gumbo Station album was going to be something special.

Romeo called his 5th album Gumbo Station because gumbo has a lot of different variety. This album has a lot of different variety. He just really wanted to do something different, something unique. So that’s why he called his 5th album Gumbo Station.

Songs recorded for the Gumbo Station album were Special Girl with Marques Houston of B2K, Rock It with Mizz Kitty, I’m Fly with Young V, Silver Surfer, and Better. The singles from the album were Rock It with Mizz Kitty and Special Girl with Marques Houston of B2K. Rock It with Mizz Kitty was the second single off the Gumbo Station album. His songs he recorded had a mixture of feelings, sounds, rhythm, treble, and emotions. The songs were types of songs which will make you laugh, others cry, or even dance.

Romeo – Gumbo Station was originally slated to be released on Guttar Music, Take A Stand Records, and No Limit Records on the month of May 2007. Romeo said in a May 7, 2007 issue of Jet Magazine that Gumbo Station would be released the month of May 2007.

However this did not happen as Romeo enrolled at the University of Southern California with a D-I (Division 1) offer. The main reason why this album was not released that year was because Romeo was concentrating more on his basketball career and collegiate studies than his music career.

The release date for Romeo – Gumbo Station was pushed back to February 14, 2008. The album was scheduled for a release date on February 14, 2008. However this did not happen.

The release date for Romeo – Gumbo Station was pushed back again to the end of April 2008. However the album was never released on this date as promised and for whatever the reason(s) may be, the Romeo – Gumbo Station album still remains unreleased.

Interestingly enough, his 2009 album, Get Low, contained singles that were originally supposed to had been on the Gumbo Station album and also contained original songs from his previous albums.

Romeo is looking special kind of girl who can give him something unique in terms of feelings and experience with his sweet love song Special Girl with Marques Houston of B2K. Romeo and Marques Houston lets these dudes know it ain’t bout just having a girl but it’s about having that special girl. Every good doctor has to have some kinda relationship with their patient. Right? To sum it all up… Special Girl is about having that special girl. There ain’t nothing like this girl in this world. She is special to him (me).

Now you know Romeo is the type of thug whose chain hangs low with the all white. From New Orleans but the dude doin all right.

Well Rome is looking for the special girl that is just right for him. She eye candy to the eyes he has been blessed twice. Light skin corn rows. It don’t get better. He’s got a nice life. All he needs is a wife. I mean the way she moves make Romeo wanna drop the mic. In the end it’s just Romeo and her. She was made for him and he was made for her. Cant nobody do Romeo like her. Romeo is on cloud nine hitting his head all the ceilings.

I can’t really describe this feeling Romeo is getting. It’s more than them goodies. I heard people Romeo’s my pimp game slippin. They 64 switchin up.

No matter what people say she is his girlfriend. No need to let the homies hate. She is his best friend. They still are gonna do our thing. They gonna be together.

Pullin’ Up is a Romeo and Bobby Valentino duo produced by Bobby Valentino. Romeo and Bobby Valentino give these dudes a reality check. They don’t know what’s real. You ain’t pulling up like Romeo, home boy. Its about that time, man. You ain’t ready.

When Romeo and Bobby Valentino pulling up, the girls they stop and stare. Haters hate on them. When Romeo is pulling up he sees his wrist hanging out the window waiting patiently in something foreign something foreign next to him. Listen to this. His music’s bumpin. They keep coming down the streets.

His grill is shining with an earlobe of karats. Bank rolls of cabbage. A chick is just smiling. But if you have two then chicks get violent. They follow Romeo like Simon. Romeo is not your average person. He’s God’s gift. Romeo is a solider. Romeo is all of that. Posted up on the block where then hustlers at. Blend in with the Saints. When something ain’t right, he calls the hood back. The son of a hustler and that’s a fact. Black tint, black whip, black chick, and black kicks.

Back to the chicks. They come from all places. With a body like Beyoncé and eyes like Asians. Tall model chicks with to the prettiest faces. Romeo sees some cuties with some bootys. Even Caucasians. Romeo is pulling up and all the haters are hating. He keeps the ground shaken like an earthquake.

Romeo discusses how he wears his fitted baseball cap on his song called Fitted Cap. Romeo rocks his P. Miller gear in his fitted cap. A fine example of Southern rap.

Romeo rocks his P. Miller gear in his fitted cap. He is all in the club. Pulling hoes in his fitted cap. Romeo is decked in his fitted ride which has trucks with the windows tinted. Guttar Boyz are in it. I don’t think you dudes serious. You’s a scrimmage. You see Romeo step out with P. Miller rims and a fitted jeans blingin that are dripping in embedded custom-made fashion. And he hangs around with guerrillas.

He keeps the rim to his cap low. Even it can took it to the right. When he turns the rim to his cap to the back, that means Romeo is bout to fight. You know Romeo is ready. He has got a lot of platinum.

Romeo has something special you never seen in his money green fitted cap 20s on Cutlets and 26s on the limousines. 38s when he is going out on a date. Lil Romeo shows he has not forgotten about his hustler roots with these lyrics: Son of a hustler I had to sell nice cream. And if he feels some kind of beef is about to go down, he just turns it to the back.

Young V has his hat to the side. He might be young but he is a beast with it. Freaky like a searcher starched up and lean and freeze in it. So he can ball in it and hit them ball in it. Young V is a rich boy she ain’t gotta steal, shorty.

I rate this album 5/5*****!

Review: Tank Doggs – Beware Of Da Doggs

Tank Doggs – Beware Of Da Doggs was supposed to the next hottest thing on the tank of No Limit Records in the late 1990s. The Tank Dawgs album featured C-Murder, Mac, Fiend, Mystikal, and Snoop Dogg since he was “Top Dogg” of the No Limit tank during that time. The Tank Doggs is the most lyrical and spectacular No Limit album ever made. A definite classic. C-Murder had some of the dopest collaborations with No Limit that were just raw.

On this album Master P, C-Murder, Mac, Fiend, Mystikal, and Snoop Dogg went by aliases specifically. For example, Snoop Dogg was Top Dogg, Fiend was Sleepy Eye Jones, Mac was Camoflauge Assassin, and C-Murder was Da Killa/50$. Murder, following in his brother’s footsteps, took some of the best new talented rappers off of the Tank and placed them in this new group, under new aliases. That is how creative he was with this album.

Beats by the Pound, KLC, L.T. Hutton, Craig B, Daz Dillinger, Soopafly, Dr. Dre, and Meech Wells were the producers behind the Tank Doggs album. Although KLC primarily did a bulk of the production.

No Limit was coming out with so many albums. One of which had the biggest hype. Tank Doggs – Beware Of Da Doggs was one of the many highly anticipated No Limit albums and TRU Records albums that was supposed to be released in 1999. Fiend, KLC, and Master P have said that the album is completed.

However Tank Doggs – Beware Of Da Doggs was never released and remains unreleased to this day for a variety of reasons. There are too many legal issues behind the songs and the album. It’s sad. We will probably never get the Tank Dawgs album. The Tank Doggs – Beware Of Da Doggs would have done numbers if released. Obviously this is most famous and most sought after No Limit release of all time.

The other reason why Tank Doggs – Beware Of Da Doggs remains unreleased is because Master P wants to C-Murder to be released from prison when the album gets released. He wanted C-Murder to be present since he was a member of Tank Dawgs.

Casualties Of War was one of the songs recorded for the Tank Dogg’s album back in 1997. The song featured Fiend, Mac, and Mr. Serv-On.

The song Casualties Of War was used on a couple of compilations such as the Dogday Records compilation Million Dollar Dream: The High Powered Double Album and a 1997 King George compilation.

Casualties Of War was leaked on the 1997 Dogday Records compilation Million Dollar Dream: The High Powered Double Album when King George left No Limit. King George leaked it on this compilation in 1997 and a 1997 compilation of his. Master P noticed this and threatened legal action if the song was not removed. That is why future pressings of this release have this song removed because of copyright issues.

Listen closely and you can hear where someone poorly edited the song at the very end. You’ll hear the words, “Yeah, we some Tank Dogs” followed by a silent hiss. That silent hiss is where someone poorly edited the sound and production.

Fiend recycled his lyrics since the Tank Doggs album never come out. His verse on Casualties Of War is second verse (Verse 2) of The Streets Ain’t Safe from his second album There’s One In Every Family. That is where the verse appears on Fiend’s second album There’s One In Every Family.

[Verse 2]
I’m an automatic pistol bustin’
He laughs, screamin’ down to the haters
Caution his lies knowin’ he gonna pay for it later
But Fiend of being the baddest
Later on
Never to go, just mama command us
Nigga no heat advantage, stay hustlin’ livin for the day
Robbin’ to the way in the alleyway, that soldier ain’t prayin’
Forgive me, I almost waited for my breed to help me
They won’t doubt me so I’m a take something to get wealthy
Healthy, young, got a gun ain’t afraid to lose it
This corner, I’m about to lose it. It’s life I ain’t choosin’
I was placed here, a nigga before me was erased here
Killa face fear but I plans to make and count cake here
Get down and show me you’re
Bout It Come and take what I took
That chef was paddin’ the way you got the face of a crook
Project walls shook, until Fiend’s Spirit rose in me
I chose to “G”, Wait until the world get a load of me

The song Tank Dogs is about how Mac, Fiend and C-Murder be them Tank Doggs from the 504 (New Orleans, Louisiana).

They won’t limit the truth. Tank Doggs roll with killers and dealers. They got niggas tweekin for shit like a dope fiend. C-Murder gets a buzz when he dip blunts. He makes moves with that nigga with the gold fronts. His shit is sellin’ like uncut dope and like coke. Fuck with camouflaged and you gon die tonight. If that bullet don’t kill you, then you gon’ bleed from a dog bite. No limit for life. TRU niggas stay cut.

Fiend wanted to live. Much skrilla is all he sees. All the niggas the tank can’t be with be the young killers. Tank Doggs make hustlers quick. TRU gang affiliated with two more niggas. Fiend chases blood like a piranha. His eyes are sleepy from that ganja. He left your neighborhood burning in flames just as a reminder.

Mac says now everybody wanna be a tank dogg because them tank dogg niggas get paid. Don’t nobody wanna be a tank dawg hater because them tank dawg haters get sprayed. They call Mac Mr. Camouflaged as he is a samurai warrior. He is kinda hostile in a war no doubt. Call a coroner as there are dead bodies in his Nautica van.

He lays back with the thirty gat in his hand. He came up from the dust never givin’ a fuck. Only tank dawgs understand. That’s the way it was and the way it got to be. Tank Doggs back up in them with the soldier shit.

Tru Tank Dogs explains who the true Tank Dogg’s are. The song uses classic Craig B beats. The song uses catchy and repetitive lyrics typically found in Southern rap and East Coast rap such as “Put your set up or shut up”, “Where they at”, “Where they at, hoe?”, ”bitch ass nigga”, and “get your mind right”.

Mystikal’s rhyming is on point as always. Here are some examples.

I’m the ground when you think
I’m the file on the shank
I’m the pile in the bank
I’m the round out the tank

Tank Doggs been holding back too muthafuckin’ long. Fuck the dumb shit. It’s time to represent. It’s time to let you niggas.

Mystikal is the conscience in the toolbox that’s coming for the carpenter. The leerer. The man people call him clipping the suits flipping the car. They call Mystikal the godfather. One of the brand new number two pencils out the pencil sharpener. He is the scarlet water out the Delta Gaucet. Mystikal is a symbol of the drama in New Orleans. All the weed, dope, coke, and alcohol at the parties. The vegetables that grow in the garden. He is the voice in the microphone coming from the booth. That’s who! He’s the round out the tank.

TRU tank dogs. They them niggas you don’t want to fuck with at all. Who like to hustle and ball.

Snoop Dogg got finished eating a batch of chicken wings with some collard greens. He’s in the club in New Orleans, Louisiana. He’s down south in the house straight turning it out. He’s bitches in his face with all the shit that they be tweaking.Snoop Dogg ain’t leaking as his game is tough and tight. You ain’t seen nothing like this in a long time. This G shit, nigga.

Every soldier got a story to tell. Kind of similar like how every person has their story to tell. Every soldier carries and burdens their own wounds when in battle or war. That is the message of the song War Wounds.

Mystikal and Master P went off on War Wounds. Silkk’s offbeat flow and style is what helped make the song memorable. Silkk brought out difference to traditional Southern rap by staying with his own flow.

Fiend has been through it all. Fiend gone get the scene hot. Greens and rocks. Burnin’ flesh. Have you ever smelled burning flesh? He is livin’ the dirty, dirty. That dirty life. The fact is you don’t choose your wars. Or be like Fiend and do it with two guns. Check his war wounds. Every soldier got a story to tell.

Master P’s adversaries get popped and that has what’s got him running from police. The ghetto is like Vietnam. That is why Master P carries two Glocks. His enemies are bad. He’s got fools from the ghetto like his cousin Jimmy who wears permanent metals.

[Master P]
My adversaries get popped
Got me runnin’ from cops
The ghetto’s like Vietnam
Got me carryin’ two Glocks
My enemies is bad
Chop limes of grass
Drive-bys and rags
And representin’ red and blue flags
See I got fools from the ghetto
Like my cousin’ Jimmy wear permanent metals
My evidence is status with hoes
Bloody Polos
Pullin’ in car do’s
And cut up Girbauds

Silkk the Shocker is down to blast for his homies and cash for his homies. Even if he is old he’ll be down to ride and die. If the hood calls him. That’s why he is hustling every day. Could you imagine him with no stash? Like a bank with no cash. Silkk the Shocker is a Richmond rider and a Caliope crawler. A Down South Hustla. Plus a head buster from New Orleans, Louisiana.

Silkk the Shocker gotta be a paid nigga. A made nigga. Silkk the Shocker is the nigga to bust yo’ shit. And the nigga to be the grave digger.

The tattoos reveal some of the war wounds that are embedded in him from war and battle. Silkk the Shocker reveals and made references to his war wounds in these lyrics.:

See my tattoos reveal some of the shit I done did
But the move of other niggas that bout it
Feel the shit I do just to live
See I been stabbed, popped at, and shot at
But I live an eye for eye
So the enemies I ain’t forgot that

Mystikal is the Saudi Arabian death killing veteran of the platoon. Either him or you right here. Mystikal is trained to kill. He’s got blood on his fatigues. Once you’re in there ain’t no turning back. Lay your ass over seas. Might as well handle your business. There’s no overcome to this shit. Be on yo’ Ps and Qs, nigga. Don’t cry like no bitch.

It’s real, shit’s real check my war wounds
This here real life, ain’t no fuckin’ cartoons
I’m the Saudi Arabian death killin’ veteran of the platoon
Either me or you right here
Come back and hang out in my room
I done shot my rifle, trained to kill
Got blood on my fatiques
Once you in ain’t no turnin’ back
Lay yo’ ass over seas
Might as well handle your business
There’s no overcome to this shit
Be on yo’ Ps and Qs nigga
Don’t cry like no bitch

You might remember the song Runnin’ from the police in the opening scene of Hot Boyz where Silkk was in the red Corvette evading police leading to a high speed chase. The beginning part of hot boyz is one of the best movie openers ever. Runnin’ from the police featured C-Murder and Mystikal.

Police got a warrant out on C-Murder. Police want him dead or alive. Catch the news at 5 PM. He can’t sleep unless he makes it across the border to Cancun, Mexico. On the beach with a freak looking at the moon and the stars. Police cars got a nigga spooked. Every time he sees the boys in blue, he wanna run, get the gun, and start bustin’ for fun. Hide in trees never waiting on the outcome. Will C-Murder ever see the penitentiary or will they ever capture him? He doesn’t know. He is just running from the police.

Task Force Squad is on his on trail. It’s hard try to hide in the ride when he makes it to the north side. Dirty gat in the Lac with the broken tail lights. His rap sheet is kind of long. His life of crime all started when he listened to a rap song. He’s gotta creep cause them motherfuckers are after his ass.

We Won’t Stop is about Tank Doggs won’t stop until the tanks on the wall. They’re going to ball until they fall.

Tank Doggs won’t stop until the tanks on the wall. They’re going to ball until they fall. They have made their mark. Tank Doggs are a few souljas a part of this No Limit world. A world where they’ve been harassed and even incarcerated for making and chasing the finer things even if they are legitimate. Tank Doggs are ghetto millionaires.

C-Murder visualizes getting shot by the bullets of his enemies. He still shiver when he glances at his war wounds. Young souljas turned victim at the full moon. Made from the realest niggas thoughts with the game from their veins straight to the heart. So many mother’s shed tears. TRU niggas make the world go round. The world ain’t never been the same since the last don put it down.

C-Murder’s lyrics paint a vivid graphic imagery of what his life was during that time.

[C-Murder]
I visualize gettin’ shot by the bullets of my enemies
rest in peace, to all my fallen homies
young souljas turned victim at the full moon
I still shiver when I glance at my war wounds
niggas feel my justice, and facial expression
so many mother’s shed tears i guess they learned they lesson
cause TRU niggas make the world go round
the world ain’t never been the same since the last don put it down
T-R-U, M-O-B, til the day we die
we represent the intercity, the dark side
we made men, made from the realest niggas thoughts
with the game from our veins straight to the heart

I rate this album 5/5*****!!

Review: Various Artists – No Tomorrow Soundtrack

The No Tomorrow Soundtrack from No Limit Records is one of the darker movie soundtracks from 1999 which uses a combination of explicit gangsta rap songs and dark industrial music. The No Tomorrow Soundtrack is half hip hop /rap and half electronic. No Tomorrow was one of No Limit’s darker soundtracks which leaned toward the dark brooding side in terms of themes, sound, and vibe. The No Tomorrow Soundtrack is a stark contrast of the usual soundtracks from No Limit Records soundtracks which incorporate just R&B/soul, funk, and hip hop/rap.

The soundtrack for the No Tomorrow movie had songs from Master P, Silkk the Shocker, C-Murder, TRU, LCD, and more. But of the songs were performed by Silkk The Shocker and C-Murder. There are some decent cuts on the soundtrack.

The No Tomorrow Soundtrack was a soundtrack from No Limit Records that was supposed to be released and was supposed to follow the No Tomorrow movie back in 1999. However the album was never released because Master P believed the album would not sell. He based this business decision due to the fact that the 1999 compilation album No Limit All Stars – Who U Wit? had low lackluster sales. So he ended up shelving the album. Marketing issues and business decisions are the reasons why the No Tomorrow Soundtrack was never released.

An advertisement for the No Tomorrow Soundtrack was first advertised in the 1999 compilation album No Limit All Stars – Who U Wit? and the album Fiend – Street Life. This soundtrack album was advertised in several albums released by No Limit Records in 1999 and 2000.

LCD – Elektronik is a piece of crunched up electronic music composed of crushed distorted synths over an energetic soundscape. The beats are extremely loud due to the volume settings. Goa trance meets techno and electronic on the song LCD – Elektronik. The synths are what make this song totally badass!

The vocal samples are what make this song catchy and get very annoying quickly. The annoying “Ho” and “Hey” are the excessive repeated vocal samples which can be heard throughout the song.

The Electric Hellfire Club – Prince Of Darkness (Black Version) is a piece of excellent dark old school industrial music from the 1990s. The bass and synths are what made this song totally badass. Prince Of Darkness (Black Version) is certainly one of the darker songs on this soundtrack.

Electric Hellfire Club educates us with this song by telling us the price of damnation is always high. Sometimes it means someone has to die in order to gain the favor of our lord and master. And it means someone has to die in order to walk the line between success and disaster. The price of damnation is always high. That is what the lyrics “The price of damnation is always high…/Sometimes it means someone has to die” mean.

C-Murder boasts and brags about how his life is constantly in danger on his song Constantly ‘N Danger. The synths, bass line, and beats are really stands out about this particular song. Part of which make a classic N.O. song. The song was used during the opening credits around the car siege with Gary Busey and Master P.

The sick ass opening begins with some thin but memorable electronic keyboard piano synths. Lyrics to the sick ass opening are “Constantly in danger to crime/I ain’t no stranger test me/Damn sho I’m gonna bang ya”

Trouble always seems to find C-Murder. He can’t stay away from this shit. He is no stranger to danger and crime. C-Murder hangs with a hard ass crew called TRU. The motherfucking feds want to plot. They really think a nigga open up shop. He faces animosity as he’s got them haters plotting and has got feds watching him everywhere he goes. That is specifically why he keeps a close eye on a stranger. C-Murder makes millions off of words. The world is his because he’s in it. He is constantly in danger.

C-Murder gets creative with his lyrics by adding “zac” and “za” to the last word of each line in his lyrics to Verse 2.

With that nigga that got TRU on his bizzack
Forget that, you so legit black, we hard to get at so get back
Cause it’s a fizzact that we gonna shizzat

I rate this album 4/5****!

Review: Silkk The Shocker – No Rules Soundtrack

Some of you No Limit fans out there may remember a soundtrack for the movie called “No Rules” which was advertised in the album Silkk The Shocker ‎– My World, My Way back in early 2000. This was to be one of No Limit Films many hip hop inspired action movies executive produced and directed by Master P. Thanks to Silkk’s prominent roles in movies such as I Got the Hook-Up, Hot Boyz, and Corrupt, he had a fledgling career as an actor. He had buckled down more since his own future is in his own hands.

This No Limit Films movie was a hip hop inspired action movie which Silkk plays the role of a gambler and a hustler who swindles people out of their money illicitly. There are no rules in this game. Anything goes in this world where Silkk resides. No Rules had a similar tone, setting, climax, and feeling which was similar to the Hunger Games movie.

Pen N Pixel designed the artwork for the cover as they did all of No Limit Films movie posters back in the 1990s and 2000s. The caption in all red bold letters read, “NO RULES” IN THIS WORLD, ANYTHING GOES

Silkk The Shocker ‎– My World, My Way was the only album where the movie “No Rules” was ever advertised. The movie was never advertised anywhere else.

However the album was never released because the movie itself was never released. No Rules was one of No Limit Films many hip hop inspired action movies which never got released next to Hoop Fighter and The Down Low. This because Master P shifted his focus on producing the Lockdown movie instead because that was his initial focus at the time he signed the deal. So Master P halted the production on No Rules and canceled the movie in early 2001.

There was a higher demand for Lockdown as that movie was promoted heavily from 1998-2001. Fans were looking forward to seeing Lockdown than they was No Rules or Hoop Fighter. Hoop Fighter was hardly promoted at all while Lockdown and I’m Bout It were heavily promoted.

Silkk the Shocker – Our Corner is notable for having a crazy hard hook over a G-Funk sound and some whistles. One of the hardest lines in the song was “Fuck with No Limit niggaz, end up as organ donors” and that’s on the real. The song originally appeared as a bonus track on the How Ya Do Dat single. Silkk the Shocker – Our Corner later appeared on the 2015 digital release No Limit East Emmett Dove Files.

I rate this album 4/5****.

Hot Boyz 2. A No Limit Films movie that never was.

Not too many people, including No Limit fans, know this but there was supposed to be a sequel to the 1999 movie Hot Boyz called Hot Boyz 2 that was supposed to be released in 2017.

There was a script was written for the Hot Boyz 2 movie which was already completed. The plot of the movie was supposed to revolve around Master P’s character Moe and Silkk The Shocker’s character Kool. Moe (Master P) was supposed to get out of jail and go after Kool (Silkk The Shocker) for killing his brother in the original Hot Boyz movie. Mo was seeking out to get his revenge on Kool for killing his brother.

The Hot Boyz 2 movie also had a lot of the characters from the original Hot Boyz movie such as Officer Roberts (C. Thomas Howell), Tyrel (Mystikal), Joseph (Andrew McFarlane), Tia (Leila Arcieri), Eddy (Anthony Boswell), and Officer Mike (J. Damian Anastasio).

Clifton Powell was one of the main bad guys as how he was usually casted in movies. Especially No Limit Films movies. Clifton Powell was one of the main bad guys in those No Limit Films movies during the 1990s and 2000s.

A news article posted by HipHopDX on the date of March 31, 2012 at 1:41 PM confirmed that Silkk The Shocker was the director for the Hot Boyz 2 movie. He was the aspiring director who was currently constructing a script for Hot Boyz 2. The script had not been completed at the time HipHopDX posted the news about the Hot Boyz 2 movie.

Silkk The Shocker even mentioned Hot Boyz 2 in a 2015 interview with Global Grind. Silkk The Shocker was back in the business like he never left with the new movie.

However Hot Boyz 2 was never released. Here are some of the reasons why the Hot Boyz 2 movie was never released at all.

One of the reasons why Hot Boyz 2 was never released was because Silkk The Shocker was busy directing other movies such as the movie More Money, More Family and the documentary examining the alleged railroading of his big brother C-Murder, Conviction By Name.

Another of the reasons why Hot Boyz 2 was never released was because Master P had went off to pursue other business endeavors and was venturing off into other interests he had in mind such as designing his own clothing line and developing his own brands of snack food.

This is one of those movies people want but can’t find. It sucks and is very shameful that we never got see a release of Hot Boyz 2. Hot Boyz 2 was definitely supposed to be one of those good hood movies to enjoy. No Limit Films has been dropping some good hood movies over the course of several years. Hot Boyz 2 was said to have been better than some of Master P’s other No Limit movies.

Review: Various Artists – Hot Boyz Soundtrack

The Hot Boyz soundtrack was supposed to be released in 1999 when the Hot Boyz movie was in theaters. The soundtrack was supposed to follow the movie. However that did not happen due to marketing conflicts, trademark infringement issues, business decisions, a conflict of interest, and label politics. That is why the album was never released.

Master P did not want to create any conflict with Cash Money Records since the Hot Boys were signed to their label. Plus Cash Money Records was getting more popular than No Limit Records was at the end of the 20th century. Bryan “Birdman” Williams owned the “Hot Boys” name. Master P was clearly ripping off the Hot Boys.

But since Master P had titled the name of his movie Hot Boyz, Bryan “Birdman” Williams could not sue him or claim that there was any trademark infringement made. However Master P being business savvy knew what the consequences would have been had he decided to release the album. There would have been a conflict of interest a conflict of interest and trademark infringement issues among other label politics.

Now every song on this rap soundtrack album was fire and worth listening to. Especially the song with O’Dell and Porsha. Almost no song is worth skipping. Snoop Dogg, Mystikal, and Master P were all over the soundtrack.

Now some of you may remember the song Nothing Stays The Same with Porsha and O’Dell which played at the end of the Hot Boyz movie when Kool was reminiscing about the memories of his girlfriend Lashawna whom he had lost.

Nothing Stays The Same was featured on the platinum 1999 soundtrack “Foolish” and the 1999 soundtrack Hot Boyz. Nothing Stays The Same was one of the most played music videos of 1999 on BET and was advertised in the Billboard Magazine. This song was one of No Limit’s greatest R&B/soul hits.

The soulful song Nothing Stays The Same features production and sultry vocals from Porsha and O’Dell. Both of them had energy in their vocals. You know the saying, “Nothing stays the same on a lonely road.” Nothing Stays The Same is a powerful song with a strong message. The song serves as a beautiful understanding about love.

It’s foolish to hide the pain because nothing can shield from the rain. We all know nothing stays the same. So stop holding it in. Don’t play no games.

Everytime O’Dell closes his eyes, he starts fantasizing about Porsha and him being all alone. All of their hesitation gone. O’Dell loses control more each day. These feelings just won’t go away. He’ll give Porsha what she needs. Love, touches, and ecstasy. He can’t go another day like this because it’s foolish.

Everytime O’Dell closes his eyes, he starts fantasizing about Porsha and him being all alone as evidenced during Verse 1.

[Verse 1: O’Dell]
Everytime I close my eyes
I just start to fantasize about you and me all alone
All our hesitation gone
Let’s stop the foolish games we play, we play
I lose control more each day, each day
These feelings just won’t go away
I’m screaming just to make you stay
All give you what you need
Love and touches, ecstasy
I can’t go another day like this
Cause it’s foolish, foolish

Both O’Dell and Porsha realize it’s foolish to hide the pain. They know nothing stays the same. Their pain cannot be hidden.

Porsha wonders why she should hold her feelings inside. It’s hard for her to realize that. She has to stop wasting time if she wants to make O’Dell all hers indefinitely to a new level of fidelity. It’s hard to look him in the eyes. Porsha cannot hide her feelings. She had felt a sense of chemistry when they first met.

Porsha sung the most poetic lyrics in her verse which went as follows:

When we first met I felt a chemistry
Like it could be more between you and me
It’s hard to look you in the eyes
Cause my feelings I cannot hide

Every soldier got a story to tell. Kind of similar like how every person has their story to tell. Every soldier carries and burdens their own wounds when in battle or war. That is the message of the song War Wounds.

Mystikal and Master P went off on War Wounds. Silkk’s offbeat flow and style is what helped make the song memorable. Silkk brought out difference to traditional Southern rap by staying with his own flow.

For Money was the song played during the scene where they was all chillin in the car listening to Kool’s new music he recorded. Lashawna walks up and says, “Your rap’s the bomb.” Some of you No Limit fans may remember that For Money was used on the Foolish soundtrack also.

I rate this album 4/5****!!

Review: Mia X – Sista Stories Concept Conflict & Confusion

Sista Stories Concept Conflict & Confusion showcased the raw sista side of Mia X which was written from a sista’s point of view and perspective. Mia X shares her experience about womanhood in form of rap. Tales of conflict and tales of confusion are told. It’s also about dealing with pain during the struggle of life. For those who don’t know, Sista Stories picks up where Unladylike left off which is what Mia X intended. In fact, Sista Stories Concept Conflict & Confusion revisits Unladylike in a more explicit manner. Mia X displayed some of the rawest content on her 1999 album.

Original album cover of Mia X – Sista Stories Concept Conflict & Confusion.

This No Limit album is different as there are not as many radio friendly tracks on this album. Only 3 of the 17 tracks that were on this album are radio friendly. Mia X decided to take a more darker explicit approach when recording this album. While the album seems to have a Burlesque theme, Mia X might have been inspired by R. Kelly during the time. She brought out that raw uncut hip hop sound with this album backed with a tinge of R&B/soul. There are several cover songs which Mia X covers such as Cover Girls – Show Me and Betty Wright – After The Pain. Those are some examples of the covers songs on this Mia X.

Mia X collaborated with many artists who weren’t on No Limit. She had been working with a whole lot of producers for the Concept Conflict & Confusion album. Master P financed the album by paying for production costs, advertisements, and promotion. He was responsible for putting money into the album. P pulled out the big guns on this one.

The Mia X – Sista Stories Concept Conflict & Confusion album was scheduled to be released on the date of November 16, 1999. However Sista Stories Concept Conflict & Confusion did not get an official release and the album remains unreleased in physical format to this day.

A few promo copies were pressed up for record company executives, DJs, and radio stations for review instead. However a lot of songs from this album had leaked about 10 years ago as Mia X herself leaked songs from her old twitter account in 2007.

The album cover was designed by the legendary graphic design firm known as Pen N Pixel. They designed her album cover in 1998. The cover of her 1999 album was a yellow gradient colored background.

Original album cover of Mia X – Sista Stories Concept Conflict & Confusion.

Now her album cover was redesigned in 2002 by a different graphic design firm called Alexander Studios & Relic. They had used a more grayscale color scheme using a monochromatic silver which looks good on a book or novel. Alexander Studios & Relic had dropped “Concept Conflict & Confusion” from the album title which led the album to be simply retitled to Mia X – Sista Stories. This album cover was advertised in Billboard Magazine in 2002.

2002 album cover for Mia X – Sista Stories.
Mia X – Sista Stories was one of many of No Limit’s albums which was advertised in Billboard Magazine in 2002.

Here are the reasons why the Mia X – Sista Stories Concept Conflict & Confusion album was never released.

One of the main reasons why this album was never released was due to family drama and personal issues. Mia X had lost both her parents Her parents health conditions worsened due to illness along with aging. These personal issues and family drama led her to leave the label and take care of her family for around 4 years. She needed to take some time and heal emotionally. That is why Mia X went on hiatus from the music industry.

A lack of charting singles was the other reason why this album was never released. Mia X did not promote any singles for the album that were charting. In fact she barely promoted the album at all despite Master P advertising her Sista Stories Concept Conflict & Confusion album in nearly every No Limit album release during the late 1990s.

Her intentionally leaking songs recorded for the Sista Stories Concept Conflict & Confusion album on her twitter account to her fans is another reason why the album was never released. Mia X leaked songs from her old twitter account back in 2007. Now Mia X does have the album in her possession and does have the rights to release the album. That choice is her alone.

Forgive Me is about Mia X’s experience about womanhood along with her point of view and perspective on womanhood. There is often conflict and confusion that comes with womanhood. XL did a wonderful job producing the song.

The Feel Good Song has an upbeat reggae vibe to it. The piano used in this song helps give the mood an upbeat reggae vibe. The song is dedicated to family and friends. The song also sheds light on enjoying the company of your favorite people you love and cherish. The Feel Good Song was produced by KLC and O’Dell.

Somethin New featured Devin The Dude and No Limit Top Dog Snoop Dogg when he was in his prime. Somethin New was a funky smooth cut with the loopy Devin The Dude to add in with the quirkiness. Both Devin The Dude and Mia X went hard on the mic. The undisputed Queen of the South never loses her step.

Hip Hop 101 features Mia and KRS-One on a track together. You know that Mia X and KRS-One on a track sure to be fire. Pure fire with lyricism and hip hop. This is real hip hop! You will wonder why she didn’t drop this as a single. It’s a shame this wasn’t ever officially released.

Mia X did a remake of the 1987 Cover Girls hit Show Me. Show Me was one of the 3 radio friendly tracks that were on the album. The remake is filled with rawness as Master P lent a hand in production of course. Mia X did a good job.

The 1999 version of I’ll Take Ur Man is a reprise which revisits I’ll Take Ur Man ’97. The track uses a fusion of funk incorporated with rap and soul. Those heavy guitars and synthesizers represent the funk portion of I’ll Take Ur Man.

Mia X is back and she came to out rap. Once Mia X is on the mic, you better think twice because this bitch ain’t no joke. So get out her face before she smack you hoes. Respect who she is because if you mess with her, she will take your man. She will make him do the shit for her that he never did before. So don’t be shocked when you see them together.

Go head roll your eyes and talk some shit. But you ain’t bad enough to get em up with this bitch. Mia X couldn’t take your man unless he’s ready to go.

You know what’s up. Mia X is all about chin checks. Mia X will take your man regardless of whether he is your fiancé or your husband. So all you fake bitch better not play Mia X close. You know who she is. You got to deal with this drama. It’s not a bet or a threat. It’s a promise.

Mia X sent him back with the news that he’s pussy-whipped and is packing all his shit You thought you had that locked. But now Mia X push his Lex truck up and down the block. Cheddar knots and ice rocks from those shopping sprees just after one night. Now you know of course Mia X has boss skills in the bed. The biggest mamma is sill running the show. Her legs spread a quarter to 3 AM. She has got your man on a mission body until a quarter to 4 AM.

Mia X is back and I came to out rap
You so, get out my face before I smack you hoe
Yeah you know respect who I am
‘Cause if you mess with me I’ll take ya man

Well I’ll take ya man right out your crib
And make him do the shit for me that he never did
So when you see us together perfing in the place
Super shocked, got the dick look on your face
Go head roll your eyes, talk some shit
But you ain’t bad enough to get em up with this bitch
Now you can call me a raw man stealing hoe
But I couldn’t take you nigga unless he’s ready to go
You know what’s up
I’m all about chin checks

Like you fucked the rest of your crew
Them hoes getting somewhere when I starts to shoot
I gives a damn
You know who I am
Fake bitch don’t play me close
‘Cause I’ll take yo man

I’ll take yo man
Ya fiancee your husband
The niggaz you sweating and all your fuck friends
And when I say I will you know I can
Don’t fuck with me
‘Cause I’ll take yo man

I’ll take yo man and bitch you got to deal with this
Its not a bet or a threat
Its a damn promise
From me to you
Think you the shit
I send him back with the news that he’s pussy whipped
And packing all his shit
You thought you had that locked
But now I push his Lex truck up and down the block
Cheddar knots, ice rocks, hands get frost bite
Shopping sprees to Loisviller after just one night
Nothing nice, boss skills in the be -e-d
Close your shop once my legs spread a quarter to three
The biggest Mama sippin Mo
Still running the show

After The Pain is a remake of the Betty Wright song After The Pain. This version is cover song laced over updated beats produced by KLC with a fresh new sound. This is soul rap with a modern touch. The undisputed Queen of the South never loses her step. Mia X tells us that there is life after the pain. After The Pain is track 14 of 17 on the album.

Betty Wright started off the song by telling Mia X, “Well, Mia. I couldn’t resist the urge after talking to you about us hooking up and doing something. So go ahead and tell them, girl. There’s life after the pain.”

Her cover of Betty Wright – After The Pain has some of the lyrics that were sued and sung in the original version.

One example is at the 0:49 mark.

After the pain, you come and love me
And I welcome you, you’re a glad sight to see
And after the rain and all that I have been through
I still can’t explain how I can still love you like I do
But I do, yes, I do
Still love you like I do
(After the pain)
Boy you still do me like you do

Another example is at the 3:55 mark.

Don’t blame Mr. Charlie, Mr. Charlie is just a man
And he’s doing the best he can
I heard ’em say, “Don’t blame Mr. Charlie, Mr. Charlie is just a man and he’s doing the best he can.”
That’s what I heard him say

I rate this album 4/5****!
