As a part of #TBT we have teamed up with DJ Tape Deck King, aka T.D.K, so he can give us 3 throwback classics (one from the 80’s, 90’s and 00’s), every Thursday night, that are getting him ready and hyped for the weekend! Check out his debut selection below which is focused heavy on classic posse cuts!

The first comes from the legendary producer/DJ Marley Marl and his classic 1988 posse cut ‘The Symphony’ featuring the debuts of Masta Ace, Craig G, Kool G Rap and Big Daddy Kane! MC Shan was supposed to be on this too but turned it down as he didn’t want to belittle himself by jumping on a track with new MC’s! Well two of them are now considered Top 5 Dead or Alive and Shan hasn’t done much else since the 80’s! Sorry Shan, legend or not, you have to take an L for that move!!!

The second comes courtesy of N.O.R.E (then Noreaga) teaming up with Cam’ron, The LOX, Nature and Big Pun to drop nothing but gems, with no hook, over one of Swizz Beatz greatest creations, ‘Banned From T.V.’, from 1998!

And last we have, forgotten Bad Boy, G Dep’s ‘Special Delivery’ Remix, from 2002, featuring a legendary line up of Ghostface Killah, Keith Murray and the late, great, Craig Mack (who had just returned into the Bad Boy fold when this banger dropped) who, in my personal opinion, killed this track!

Enjoy the above selections and have a blessed weekend – Tape Deck King!
