Review: Miami – Transformation

The album “Transformation” has come to fruition despite physical distances, as the 12 songs were created through an Atlantic-crossing collaborative process. Kristian Paulsen, currently residing in Brazil, handled the production, while the vocals were recorded by Nicolai Villum in Copenhagen. Shane Dhiman from Southern Denmark contributed the guitar work, drums were recorded by Rasmus Schebye outside Copenhagen, and the distinctive and recurring trumpet was recorded by Kristian Paulsen, also in Brazil. Miami is now making their return to the music scene with the album “Transformation.”

I’m On A Roll is the song and lead single that gave the band Miami a revival. The song and single was a revelation for the band as this was the song it took to restart Miami. The Danish alternative rock band proves they have not lost their touch musically. Instrumentation and production are balanced perfectly.

The song On the street is about looking for fun down in New Orleans, Louisiana. On the street has that laid back carefree sound with hazy rock instrumentation that is quite commercial sounding. This song takes listeners on a nostalgic journey through the soundscapes of time. This Danish alternative rock band put their foot in on performing the instruments and instrumentation.

Their song Stars uses a beautiful fusion of electronic and rock. The song teaches people to not be ashamed of who they are. Don’t be ashamed of who you are. What you have is a Rolling Stones meets Iggy Pop vibe with electronic instrumentation.
