MP Da Last Don was one of the most successful No Limit Films movies of 1998 that was a box office success. The fan base of No Limit instantly fell in love with this movie due to the drama plot line that was involved. This was one of those mafioso type movies with dark themes. Now those dark themes fit the movie perfectly given how dark most No Limit Films movies were during that time.

Uncle P was one of the more family friendly movies produced by No Limit Films in conjunction with his P Miller Collection brand. This was a PG movie with a G rated vibe. The warm innocence of this movie gives away a welcoming family friendly vibe, image, and feeling. The movie Uncle P was shown in theaters back in 2007.

The movie was about successful multi-millionaire and actor Master P becoming the guardian to his sister’s 3 children. All of whom need a father figure as their father is constantly away on business and has no time to raise children. With much cajoling from his sister, Master P takes on the role as guardian for her 3 children. Now of course this is naturally no easy task as is the case with all parenthood. There are trials and tribulations that come along with the territory of parenthood along with the ups and downs. Nevertheless Master P ends being a hood parent and becomes the full time guardian for all 3 children while maintaining his career as a rapper, actor, and business person.

Sadly this movie was overlooked as No Limit was considered to be a thing of the past in 2007. Which is why the movie was overlooked and overshadowed. The mild success of this movie was overlooked and overshadowed as well too. Promotion for this No Limit Films movie was not as strong due to the distribution deal Master P made for his production company during that time. He was not using the same distributor as he did during earlier part of the decade which was Miramax Films.

The 2000 drama movie Lockdown was one of the more grittier and realistic movies No Limit Films had produced. This was one of those dark movies. Lockdown was one of the darker films produced by No Limit Films. This movie was a stark contrast of the goofy comedy movies usually produced by No Limit Films. Master P nailed his role in the movie without too much added drama or over-exaggeration.

Despite the constant promotion that was used by No Limit, the Lockdown movie was less successful than previous No Limit Films movies. This was one of the less successful movies from No Limit Films during their heyday and peak popularity. Master P promoted the Lockdown movie for the advertisements in No Limit releases during late 1990s and early 2000s as a part of his marketing strategy for albums, movies, clothing, accessories, and equipment.

Who could forget Master P’s debut movie I’m Bout It? This was his debut movie from 1997 that started it all for No Limit Films and Master P. This movie was an underground classic strictly for the streets due to its gritty mystery elements and gritty crime elements incorporated in the low-budget production value.
