Lil Johnny – I Got You was one of the more vibrant love singles of 2001. The single was kid-friendly and was suitable enough for all audiences to enjoy. There are great songs for lovers! The timing for the release of the I Got You single was bad due to Usher’s rising fame in 2001 and the fact his voice sounds a bit like Usher. Basically the music industry at the time was not looking for another carbon copy of Usher. Not exactly Ginuwine either.
I Got You is about Lil Johnny having a girlfriend but the only problem is he’s only 15 and he doesn’t have a car. Because Lil Johnny is 15 he is not legally able to drive a car on the road. His girlfriend tells Lil Johnny he doesn’t have to go nowhere as long as he’s with her. This is where he really shines. I Got You features Jermaine Dupri as well. He raps the hooks with his signature single ad-libs and one-liners. I Got You is a love song basically.
Lil Johnny and the girl he loves sit talk over the telephone going back about how they both feel. All Johnny talks about is taking her out so they could chill. But the only problem is he’s only 15 and he doesn’t have a car. His girlfriend tells Lil Johnny he doesn’t have to go nowhere as long as he’s with her.
That’s when she let him know she was the girl of his dreams. Johnny is so happy to see that she ain’t one of them kind of girls that don’t believe what he says. When he says that he loves her, he wants to stay under her every night and day. Johnny has got her right where he wants her. Because all she talks about is being in a place with him friend and she pictures how she wants them to be seen by the public. Johnny tells her that he will not leave her after all the work he has put in trying to get in her life.
Johnny is over her house trying to find a little something for them to watch on TV. But all she wants do is get closer and talk about the things she is going to do to him when she gets older. There ain’t nothing on TV. So they decide to go outside and take a walk through the park hand in hand. They had a nice little talk. That’s when she let him know she was the girl of his dreams.
The well known game show-inspired Wheel of Fortune was also on The Brothers soundtrack for those don’t remember is also on this album. Wheel of Fortune is a great song to play during midnight to your lover after smooching whether it be dedicated for him or her. A great song for both lovers!
Time seems to be standing still because the girl he is love with hasn’t changed a bit since the day they met. And it ain’t very common that you find a work of art and she be game free. Incredible, genuine, and unbelievable. Which of these words best describes her?

This girl was the jackpot that Johnny hit before he went bankrupt. And if he had to spend his life apart from her, think about how his life would be. His life would be missing the V in lovely and replaced with an N for lonely. So he figured it out that she is the final E to this puzzle he calls life. The girl Johnny loves is charming and has got personality. He loves the way she makes him feel. There’s no him without her. So with her is where he’ll be. This is for real.
