Princess Kaos – A Woman’s Point of View is one of the lesser known rap singles of 1992 along with San Antonio rap. This single is filled with conscious rap about women empowerment given that these songs were written from a woman’s point of view. That makes because Princess Kaos aka Karla Belle is a cousin of legendary West Coast female rapper Yo-Yo. (Yo-Yo and Princess Kaos are cousins for those who did not know.) So you easily tell, hear, and see when Princess Kaos got her influences from. Princess Kaos was the female rapper to come out of San Antonio rap. (This is predating Lady Lunatic.) She was the mother of hip hop/rap in the 210. To this day she is one of the dopest female emcee’s from San Antonio, Texas.

The single was produced by Magic Mark (Mark Outing), Jason Effect, and DJ AK-47 (Robert Hill). The single uses heavy influences of West Coast rap, Southern rap, social consciousness, and women empowerment.

Princess Kaos – A Woman’s Point of View single was released by Youngsta Records from San Antonio on vinyl and cassette back in 1992. Sadly this single was her only release and she never came out with anything aside from a few contributions on songs recorded by PKO, Lil Sin, Nino, K-Sam, and 5th Ward Boyz.

A Woman’s Point of View is about what a woman’s point of view was about sex, life, and philosophy. The first verses are very sexually explicit. She makes an ode the sexual position “69”. It is all about the empowerment of Black women coming up. Very similar to Yo-Yo and her IBWC coalition from the 90s.
