Jazzanova – Of All the Things is one of the best bossa nova albums of 2008 that is simply improvisational and underrated. True fans of jazz music will certainly appreciate this album.
On the song Let Me Show Ya, Jazzanova explains that it feels so good to have a kindred soul but it’s better when it’s on equal ground because that’s the kind of love that stays around. There is lessons we all could learn from.
If you’re fallin’ in love, let Jazzanova show you at least a thousand reasons why you should take your time before you fall again. If you’re still in love, now’s a good time to wish upon the stormy sky and take your time. Trust and you will win.
You chose to set aside. You chose to compromise. Dangerous signs come crashing in even when we’re so proud of ourselves. We’re only human. There is lessons we all could learn.
It’s so hard to be alone. It feels so good to have a kindred soul. But it’s better when it’s on equal ground that’s the kind of love that stays around. That is the truth about love.
The song What Do You Want? tells people there’s no escaping restlessness when they put their faith in material things.
People often put their faith in material things too easily. There’s no escaping restlessness when people put their faith in material things. Still they get no peace. Feels more like breaths between drowning. Just like some small release.
The world is changing, gettin’ smaller everyday. Easy to get some place but hard to get away. We’ve got a lot to learn. Temptation’s there at every turn. All of the roads lead back to one another. We’ve got to hold on to the one thing that we know is true. Never give up what you believe.
I rate this album 4/5****!!
