The Shabazz The Diciple & Supreme Kourt vinyl EP was the illest shit out back in 1998. The EP is laced with soulful boom bap beats and an edge of jazzy hip hop. Some of the songs were originally recorded and produced back in 1989 such as Little Shop of Horror and Party wit a Tec. That is why this EP sounds vintage for an EP released in 1998. This EP is an antique rap gem!
Little Shop of Horror uses sick beats over a bassoon sample which gives the song an edge of jazzy hip hop. Those boom bap beats were soulful. Little Shop of Horror was originally made back in 1989 and was remade in 1996. Producer Su-Preme used a Korg DDD-1 and the Casio FZ-10M in 1989 to make the beat. He used the ASR-10 to do the remake. Su-Preme recorded the song Little Shop of Horror at The Hit Factory.
Party wit a Tec is a violent gangsta rap song driven by a rhythmic old timey jazz piano. That rhythmic old timey jazz piano gives the song an edge of jazzy hip hop. An antique rap gem! Party wit a Tec was originally made back in 1989 and was remade in 1996. Producer Su-Preme used a Korg DDD-1 and the Casio FZ-10M in 1989 to make the beat. He used the ASR-10 to do the remake. Su-Preme recorded the song Party wit a Tec at The Hit Factory.
I’m Breathing for You is a vintage antiquated sounding hip hop song with soothing smooth boom bap beats. Shabazz’s lyrics are on point aw always. You can see where the development of his lyrics transitioned from. These were the lyrics that made him the rapper he is today.
I rate this EP 5/5*****!
