Review: Master P – Trick Or Treat Whodi

Master P – Trick Or Treat Whodi is one of Master P’s CD singles which hardly gets any mention when mentioning his hit songs. Master P incorporated the sounds of horrorcore into gangsta rap and Southern rap with the help of his production team. The single is quite eerie and creepy because of this. Slay Sean did most of the songwriting. This is one of the most overlooked horrorcore singles of 2000.

Trick or Treat Whodi was one of Master P’s lesser known songs which was a horrorcore style rap song. The song is quite eerie and creepy. Slay Sean did most of the songwriting and makes an appearance.

Guess who’s back? It’s Master P!? Trick or treat, whodi! It must be Halloween. Ya heard me? Where you be, whodi? He’s right across the street, whodi.

It all happened at once. Master P was in the middle of the hood rolling a black and orange blunt. His mind fucked up because he seen a black cat. He thinks he seen the beast. So he put his hand on his gat and took 3 steps back. Then he ran up the block like it was a horror movie.

He saw a big haunted house with a chick in a jacuzzi. He knocked on the doors and it broke the mirror. Now he’s got 7 days of bad luck and a dog with no liver. It must be a nightmare. Then he jumped in the truck and headed to the club where the party’s off the hook until he ran into this nigga that he knew was a crook. This crook was coming for Master P.

Nah fuck that! Master P is about to go for his. Because he is trapped in this dream like he is trapped in crime. He sees this younger bitch with hair that looked just like Eve. And he thinking to himself, “What the fuck is she doin in New Orleans?” Now is this a curse or shit he did bad? Or his mind playin tricks cause he snatched a kid’s bag?

It’s nighttime. The right time to do crime. Niggas hustle and watch out for police sirens. It’s showtime and Slay Sean is raising hell one more time. Thugs move. There are no rules. Bottom line. You got into the sunset to speak your mind. Run. Lock your doors. The streets belong to Slay Sean. Niggas wild out as they throw eggs, the people beg. Niggas need to be caged on October 31st.

Takin, what we want, by means of all sorts. It’s the way of life. payback’s a bitch. So pay the price. Somebody gotta suffer even police. When the streets is dark and cold, you fear for your life. You know you hear the screams. It’s a horrible sight. They just wanna survive the night. 12 hours of mayhem as you beg for life.

Trick or treat, kiddies! Master P is out to deliver the mail once again with all platinum Ghetto Postage. Who’s laughin now, whodi?

Souljas is another one of those songs Master P incorporated the sounds of horrorcore into gangsta rap and Southern rap with the help of his production team. The song is quite eerie and creepy because of this.

The way Master P chants in army drill style is quite militant and militaristic. I don’t know what you’ve been told. But No Limit Soldiers came to rock ‘n’ roll. From the North to the South to the East to the West. Read the lyrics.

[Chorus: Master P – army drill style]
I don’t know what you’ve been told
(I don’t know what you’ve been told)
But No Limit Soldiers came to rock’n’roll
(But No Limit Soldiers came to rock’n’roll)
Where are all my whodis at?
(Where are all my whodis at?)
From the North to the South to the East to the West
(From the North to the South to the East to the West)
Thugged out (one two) what we bout? (Knockin boots)
Shoutin it out (N.. O.. L.. I.. M-I-T!)

I rate this single 4/5****!
