Review: Ghetto Commission – Wise Guys

The Ghetto Commission – Wise Guys album was average rap album despite having some of the highest production around and big name artists of the 1990s. Even though some people say Ghetto Commission – Wise Guys was one of the rawest No Limit rap albums of 1998. Although the album was too gutter for the mainstream music market and did not sell very well, Master P was trying to bring a new sound to the label.

The album had everything from hardcore gangsta rap to bounce music but mostly dabbled into hardcore gangsta rap with a heavy lyrical touch. Hardcore gangsta rap is one term that can basically describe this whole album.

C-Los was more involved with the production side of this album because Beats By The Pound had been producing songs and albums for other artists on No Limit. So C-Los stepped up to the plate and produced tracks for Ghetto Commission during this time. C-Los also had a business relationship tied up with Master P during this time also. His production work can be heard all over the album.

I rate this album 3/5***.
