Ginuwine – the Bachelor was one of the greatest R&B/Soul albums from a male solo artist for 1996 due to being such a huge commercial success. The album had commercially successful hits such as Pony and I’m Sorry. His entire album was laced with Timbaland’s sultry production which consisted of his ultra thick drum patterns, loud claps, and prosperous snaps. Not to mention Ginuwine’s singing. Nearly each song is worth listening to on this 4/5**** album.
Pony was one of the greatest R&B/Soul songs of 1996 due to being such a huge commercial success. The song was laced with Timbaland’s sultry production which consisted of his ultra thick drum patterns, loud claps, and prosperous snaps. Not to mention Ginuwine’s singing.
The entire song is a blatant sexual euphemism for Ginuwine’s penis. Ginuwine wants the woman to ride his penis like she was riding a pony (horse). His sex is so good that she will not want to come off of his penis. A bunch of double entendres are used int he song.
Ginuwine is in need of a woman to settle down with since he is a single man that is currently a bachelor. He is single and would like to mingle. He is looking for someone who can ride his penis without quitting and without even falling off. He wants someone to take him through the maximum heights of pleasure. You and your body. Every single portion sends chills up and down your spine. Juices flowing down your thigh. That must be one intense orgasm.
550 What? is about a man who have been searching a female partner. The song is also a reference to the record label he was singed to in 1996. 550 Music was the record label Ginuwine was signed to in the 1990s which is owned by Sony. He paid homage, tribute, and respect to 550 Music in this song. Timbaland used his signature production of thick drum patterns and smoky beats. He also raps at the very end too.
Ginuwine has been looking all around and been searching for the right producers to record music with. He is known for getting down on some other shit. He just doesn’t want a hit. He’s trying to stay around. He can feel what you need indeed and he’ll give you all the things you need. You’ll never have to worry bout “G”.
Ginuwine is happy that he found her face. He is blessed with the way she is treating him. Feeling real good. Together they will bump the place.
Timbaland is chilling on the corner with his nig Ginuwine speaking about the problems that are on his mind. Never had a true reason whether he’s gonna be here or leaving His life’s been nothing but an ugly mess. Timbaland has been talking to a whole lot of people were telling him that his life was not going to be created equal.
But his manager R.R. had a bunch of plans. Then Timbaland and Ginuwine ran into J.D. and he engineered the plan
Then what Michael Caplan hooked Timbaland and Ginuwine up with Polly and she signed the “G” man (Ginuwine) to 550 Music. L. West had to live his legal statements. She means so much to Timbaland and Ginuwine because she hooked Timbaland and Ginuwine with Ron Sweeny. Timbaland and Ginuwine are now (were) working together as a team trying to take advantage and complete their dreams.
Ginuwine feels hurt about the things that happened between him and his girlfriend. He asks why did she have to leave him. That is what the song World Is So Cold is about.
The world is so cold. Why did Ginuwine’s girlfriend leave Ginuwine standing there alone with his shadow? Ginuwine looks for his girlfriend’s presence but it’s not there. One thing’s on his mind. The thought is having his girlfriend and to have her next to him. How could she leave that night? Already the world is so cold. Ginuwine is lost and is no doubt miserable. Ginuwine has got much good love to give. Living alone’s no way to live. He can’t believe she’s gone. It tore apart his heart.
I rate this album 4/5****.
