Documentary movie Flint Town Kids explains how sports such as basketball is bringing a new ray of hope to Flint, Michigan despite a decline in population.

The documentary movie Flint Town Kids explains how basketball is BIG in Flint, Michigan despite the city spiraling into decline for the last 5 decades. Famous basketball players such as Glenn Rice, Desmond Farmer, Jermaine Smith, Jeff Grier, Desmond Farmer, Kevin Tolbert, and Lamont Green (LG) were produced in Flint as explained in the documentary movie. Glenn Rice, Kevin Tolbert, and Lamont Green made appearances in the documentary movie also.

Glenn Rice and Lamont Green have mentored children and given them chances to earn sports scholarships which pay for college tuition. They have tutored and mentored children on how to become better basketball players.

But the bright side is Flint as a city is rebuilding itself as a college town with educational establishments such as Kettering University, Mott College, Dort College, and University of Michigan – Flint. Not only is Flint rebuilding itself as a college town but they are refurbishing and rebuilding the Downtown area of Flint ever since the year of 2008. The downtown area is looking nice now. Clothing stores had opened up. Clothing stores have been there before.
