Crazy Bout Ya and I Got You are examples of some highlights off her debut album. The Baton Rouge based songstress featured on almost every album put out on No Limit Records from 1997 to 2001. She was signed to TRU Records too. Mac considered her as the Mary J. Blige of Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Now her album cover was designed by Pen N Pixel as many of No Limit’s album covers and movie posters were during that time. Many Pen & Pixel covers left rap fans intrigued back then. Honestly her album cover looks like an obituary.
Ms. Peaches – Ghetto Angel was one of No Limit’s anticipated albums which never got released. The album was slated to be released in 2001 but never because after Beats By The Pound left No Limit, Ms. Peaches felt the chemistry wasn’t there. So Ms. Peaches left No Limit in mid-2001. That is why her album Ms. Peaches – Ghetto Angel never hit the shelves in stores. It’s unfortunate her album was never released despite having a few songs recorded and used for other albums.
Ms. Peaches killed I Got You with C-Murder. C-Murder finishes the song strongly with his vocals as does Peaches. The song has that late 90s and early 00s pop sound. I Got You was recorded in the year 2001 with a producer named Toussaint at his studio. Toussaint is 2Saint from DeadlySoundz and TRU Records. The song leaked to file sharing websites in 2006. The song appeared on the 2015 compilation album Emmett Dove Files from their sublabel No Limit East.
