Gregory Jacobs, known professionally as Shock G, was an American musician, rapper, and lead vocalist for the hip hop group Digital Underground. He was responsible for Digital Underground’s “The Humpty Dance”, 2Pac’s breakthrough single “I Get Around”, and co-producer of 2Pac’s debut album 2Pacalypse Now.

Pioneer of the Oakland rap scene Shock G has died at age 57, according to Digital Underground co-founder Chopmaster J, TMZ and AllHipHop.
The rapper was found dead on Thursday, according to a TMZ report citing Shock G’s father. Chopmaster J, who helped create the hip hop collective of which Shock G was a part, also shared a tribute on social media on Thursday. There has, however, been no official statement from the artist’s family.
