Review: Master P – Empire, From the Hood to Hollywood

Aspiring No Limit artist and basketball player Master P released another solid effort of an album called Empire, From the Hood to Hollywood. Master P was dabbling into using drill beats popularized by Chicago rappers and SoundCloud rap in his songs for this comeback album of his. This album was new and experimental for him as one can tell. Lyricism is what contemporary rap is missing in. Most of the featured artists held down his album with their own ability and creativity. This album is just as sophisticated or whimsical as some of his previous albums were.

Master P proves to us on We Don’t Stop that the streets are rockin’ with No Limit Forever as there ain’t no competition. Fuck the trophies and award shows. They are the true champions of independent music. They don’t lose. They just win. He also proves that there ain’t no limit to the money that a nigga is getting.

Master P feel likes Stephen Curry in game 6. He makes nonbelievers believe in him. He makes hating niggas change and wanna be with him. A thousand grams is how he came up in this game. The streets are rockin’ with No Limit Forever as there ain’t no competition No Limit Forever are champs. They don’t lose. They just win. There ain’t another label out hotter than No Limit Forever.

Master P explains how he became a successful businessman in the song Hood To Hollywood. It’s a rags to riches story. His delivery with his lyrics are on point.

Master P had to grind when all he saw is poverty. Plus the economy is terrible. Niggas got tired of being broke. Him and his niggas in the kitchen flip more chickens than church. Don’t ask him to put you on. You weren’t here with him when he was hurting.

I rate this album 5/5*****!

Review: Cymphonique – Passion

Cymphonique – Passion has some of the freshest beats ever heard in pop music. These modernized beats leave much to be desired. Cymphonique gives her album a fresh breath of pop flair. Each song has a message. One of the hypest and diverse albums on the No Limit Forever label in 2013.

It’s My Party discusses how Cymphonique will spend money frivolously because it is her party.

Tonight Cymphonique just might blow a couple racks if she wants to because it’s her party. And because tomorrow she knows she could make it back if she wanted to. She might take a trip around the city to throw a party. She’ll drop the top to her car just to see how people react. Cymphonique is known to stop and throw a party wherever she is at and if she wants to. She might turn up the music til’ it slaps with the volume turned up to the maximum level.

You can catch Cymphonique in the club in the V.I.P section turnt up and doing herself. It’s her party. She can turn up if she wants to. So we gonna party while we’re young. We might as well have some fun. So don’t waste none of your time. So if you’re real and you know it, you could bring a friend. If you ain’t on what she is on, then you ain’t getting in.

So baby if you really came to dance. Then take it to the floor. This is your chance. If Cymphonique really wants to she can stop the music and make everyone put up their hands. She throw stacks out if she wanna. So tell the DJ turn it up. Ain’t no stopping what she is doin’ because she is all the way turnt up and wildin out. So we gonna party while we’re young. We might as well have some fun. You would turn up too if you could do what she does.

Talk to Me explains how Cymphonique loves the way her man talks to her on social media and through texting.

Cymphonique love the way her man talks to her on social media and through texting. She swears this is how it’s supposed to be. She loves how he keeps it real and how he makes her feel. That’s just what it is. She can’t even lie. She loves the way he be lookin at her like dead up in her eyes. Because that is the look he gives Cymphonique to let her know that everything alright. As long as he is down, Cymphonique is holding him down. And that’s what she likes.

People don’t even have a clue about the chemistry they share that is between them. They are hating and they are mad because they can’t do what Cymphonique and her man do. Their chemistry is not complicated at all. Basic to understand. No matter what Cymphonique is gonna keep it 100 with her boo. She loves the way he talks. She also loves they way he dresses himself with clothing that is fresh. (Which is fresh.) He is the best. Basically she loves everything he does to her.

And now people are up all on Cymphonique’s Instagram account/profile making nasty derogatory comments because they are jealous about Cymphonique’s relationship with her man. They are constantly blowing up her phone by calling and texting her. Even on Twitter. Cymphonique can see the hating all in their faces because they are all in her grill when she is thuggin with her boo.

She ain’t trying to make them mad on purpose. She is just doing what she does. Matching rollies with the big faces. Telling time at 6 different places.

Cymphonique likes what he says but she loves how he says it. She loves the way he talks to her. She loves how he keeps it real and how he makes her feel. That’s how it’s supposed to be. That’s just what it is.

Unhuman is a breathtaking angelic calming acoustic guitar driven pop song. It’s nice to hear a pop song that is driven/backed by an acoustic guitar once in a while. This song is what changes up things for the album such as the pace and vibration.

That boy Cymphonique loves has got her doing things she does not normally do. He must be unhuman. He must be a magical super magic boy. That is what the song Unhuman is about.

There’s this boy Cymphonique loves. That boy Cymphonique loves has got her doing things she does not normally do. He must be unhuman. He must be a magical super magic boy. He’s got her heart.

Cymphonique told herself she’d never ever fall in love with him. But it seems the more she pulled away, the more stronger it grew. How could she not see it coming? He must have mind control the way he has got her so attached to him.

I rate this album 3/5***.

Review: Cymphonique – No Days Off

Cymphonique – No Days Off has some of the freshest beats ever heard in pop music. These modernized beats leave much to be desired. Cymphonique gives her album a fresh breath of pop flair.

Cymphonique explains how she can see bullshit a mile away on the hot track called Since Jordan.

Cymphonique woke up this morning feelin’ like she is already rich. I woke up this morning feelin’ already in her bliss. She looked in the mirror and said, “You know you a rebel.” Then the mirror looked back and told her to never settle. Cymphonique sees the game for what it is. So she stays in her lane. She ain’t swervin’ in no ditches.

Cymphonique stays in her corner but you’ll never box her in it as she is too focused. She got infrared on her vision. Why are people trying to break her down like she doesn’t know division? Why are people trying to her like they don’t know who they are quizzing? Cymphonique can see bullshit a mile away. She can moonwalk that bullshit. She ain’t been on bullshit since Michael Jordan played.

And that’s the way it is. The way she has been gettin’ it from the get-go. There’s no doubt about it. Plain and simple. Just don’t ever try to play her because she can see bullshit a mile away.

Cymphonique explains what she saw during her vacation in South Beach, Florida with her song South Beach. She explains what chain events went down with her vacation in South Beach, Florida.

Cymphonique is ready for the weekend. She has got the loud pack in her backpack. This bad chick has got a fat bag. Big money. I’m taking fast ass. South Beach has got some real freaks. That nigga she sees is in Miami heat. Real people know the real Cymphonique. She gets a sneak peek of some movie scenes at the theater.

Cymphonique hits the club late night in the VIP section. But she ain’t looking down at those who aren’t VIP and those who are of lesser status whether it lower social status or economic status. That is what these specific lyrics imply.

Baby when I touchdown
Hit the club but is all of brown
Vip I ain’t looking down
High on life I get fed round

Weekends are her favorite because she take off in that laddish. Cymphonique gets so faded during vacation. But the weekend you get your freak on. Just turn up for the weekend. Live it while you are eating. She’s been grinding while you’ve been sleeping.

Air 2 Fire uses those old school style New Orleans bounce beats KLC and Craig B used to produce for No Limit back in the 1990s and 2000s. Cymphonique gives the song a fresh breath of pop flair over a clean blissful piano solo. Overall the song is New Orleans bounce beats over a clean blissful piano solo performed with pure elegance.

They only got tonight. When he came into Cymphonique’s life, it was air to fire. Or in this case air 2 fire. The passion, presence, and desire. Both of them are beautifully all alone. She sees it happening currently. Oh baby. They so caught up in the moment. Cymphonique asks her man to tell her why he was jealous when he knew he wanted it.

I rate this album 4/5****!

Review: Southdown – Chronicles The EP

The Southdown – Chronicles The EP is and was one of the lesser known releases from the No Limit Forever label which hardly received any attention online or offline. The album was a combined mixture of rock and pop. Think pop rock with an alternative feeling. Here their songs contains elements of hard rock, post-grunge, and progressive rock while maintaining the straight-forward melodicism of traditional pop songcraft. Their 2012 EP was released as a digital EP in AAC format.

The alternative rock band out of New Orleans was the first rock band to be signed to the No Limit Forever label. This was Romeo’s and Master P’s attempts to add diversity to the label.

I Found My Soul is about finding your place and life and living through the struggle. Living the life of all that pain.

I found my soul not long ago. And you were there to let me know and you hold my hand. I’m not scared at all because I found my soul not too long ago. I lived the life of guilt and shame. l’ve lived the life of all that pain. I’ve lived the life of doing drugs. l’ve lived the life of fighting thugs. But now I’m through and I’ve turned to you.

I found my soul not too long ago. I lived the life when I was hurt from doing drugs down in the dirt. But now I’m through and I’ve turned to you. I am so glad that all that’s over. I’m so proud I’m clean and sober. Now I see this, and I’m walking your way. Most other times I now that I would cry. Most of the time I now would die if I kept it up, If I kept it up.

The band went in a bold, new direction when it collaborated with rapper and labelmate Co-Ruff on the synth-driven “Beast Inside,” a hip-hop rock jam that soon got exposure on ESPN via college basketball programs. The hit record “The Beast Inside” was written by Co-Ruff for the band SouthDown. He co-wrote the song.

I rate this EP 5/5*****!!

Review: Money Mafia – Hustlin

Money Mafia – Hustlin show and exemplifies that Money Mafia is all about their money. Now most of the subject matter is considerably generic as the topics range from getting money to being real to dealing with homies that are locked up. However you have you politically charged “woke” songs such as Freadom Of Speach which is much different from the typical Dirty South No Limit formula and sound overall. No Limit Forever released this fire album digitally in 2015.

Real Hommies is about the real homies who have been down regardless of the situation. Homies that have been there through thick and thin. When the real homies call Money Mafia, Money Mafia will be there. When the real homies need Money Mafia, they’ll be there. That’s the deal with the tank.

They say the good come with the bad and vice versa. When the real homies call Money Mafia, Money Mafia will be there. When the real homies need Money Mafia, they’ll be there. That’s why they ride for our homies. Best believe they’ll be around. That’s the deal with the tank. Money Mafia are mad hood niggas who have been to the top.

Real niggas don’t gossip. Money Mafia’s mad for keeping it trill by getting this money and not gossiping. Money Mafia loves their niggas over money and businesses. Whether right or wrong, they keep it real in these streets. They don’t fuck with snitches and the police. Money Mafia been down for the cause in this game of life. Money Mafia got the squad right. It’s No Limit forever!

The song “Freadom Of Speach” is about wanting change and more freedom. Money Mafia just wants the change. Fuck the money and fame. Freadom Of Speach is one of Money Mafia’s more politically charged “woke” songs on the album.

For example, in Verse 3 Money Mafia call out America’s racist double standards of how it is perfectly acceptable for a white man to shoot a black man but somehow it is completely unacceptable for a black man to shoot a white man. If a white man shot a black man, they let him go free. Now if a black man shot a white man, then he receives the death penalty. Read the woke lyrics to get a better understanding.

[Verse 3]
White man shot a black man, they let him go free
Black man shot a white man it’s the death penalty
I can’t believe they choked that nigga, got him screaming ‘Can I breathe?’
I can’t believe they shot that nigga again
That coulda been me
And fuck the freedom of speech if cops shoot before you speak
And lie to the judge and say we was reaching for the piece
I’ve seen a kid go from making labs to in the casket later
Now they wonder why we killing tryna push the murder rate up
This shit is real you better wake up
And stop believing all the lies they tell us
That shit is made up
Got us working like slaves just to take the pay cut
I couldn’t afford, gotta achieve can’t live my whole life
A nigga saved up
This shit will have you hurting like a bad breakup
I see a nigga kill his best friend cause he didn’t pay up
And just because you got a badge don’t mean you abuse your rights
Cause God’s the only person that can take a life

All matters on different levels
We live in Revelations, devil with angel faces
How can a cop protect and serve the streets if he racist
Look, kiss my kids the second chance I get
Grand daddy can make it hope, surviving one more trip

In American society (United States), police can shoot you before you speak and lie to the judge and say you were reaching for your/a weapon. One of the many reasons why the murder rate has gone up in many cities across the country of the United States. Just because a police officer or a law enforcement officer has got a badge doesn’t mean they can abuse your rights or anyone else’s. These lyrics also call out political corruption and police brutality.

And fuck the freedom of speech if cops shoot before you speak
And lie to the judge and say we was reaching for the piece
I’ve seen a kid go from making labs to in the casket later
Now they wonder why we killing tryna push the murder rate up

This shit will have you hurting like a bad breakup
I see a nigga kill his best friend cause he didn’t pay up
And just because you got a badge don’t mean you abuse your rights
Cause God’s the only person that can take a life

How can a cop protect and serve the streets if he racist

Money Mafia also exposes income inequality for what it really is with these lyrics.

Got us working like slaves just to take the paycut
I couldn’t afford, gotta achieve can’t live my whole life
A nigga saved up
This shit will have you hurting like a bad breakup
I see a nigga kill his best friend cause he didn’t pay up

Bonita is about how Money Mafia puts in work and do their dirt. Many Mafia is whipping the work. Some people (they) call it betrayal. But Money Mafia calls it “Bonita”. The subplot of the song is also about a woman named Bonita. All Bonita does is work.

All Money Mafia does is work. They waddle with that work. Play around here get some ketchup on your shirt. Money Mafia has got some young ones (yungins) with them on their mafia team that will shoot you just for fun. Bitches call Money Mafia every night just looking for that work. There ain’t no cutting on that work.

Bonita is a girl with a big fine ass. She is a billion dollar girl. All Bonita does is work. Shawty got that work. She does waddle with them things. She is a hustler who gets them dollars.

I rate this album 3/5***.

Review: Master P – Famous Again

Master P came real with it again with his lyrics on his 2015 album Famous Again. Lyricism is what contemporary rap is missing in. Master P manages stay relevant in this new school era of rap. Highlights on this album include Need To Know and Last Year.

Master P explains to use that what don’t kill you just make you stronger on Last Year. There is no limit to your success. Master P proves there is no hesitation for him to graduate and elevate his education. Master P plans to bring it back with No Limit. There ain’t no limit now.

They say what don’t kill you just make you stronger. All that motherfucking hate made Master P get out and get his hustle on. No Limit did it once. Now No Limit has got another turn. No Limit is doing shit niggas ain’t never see. Master P is bout to break it back, boy. It ain’t no limit. See how the tables turn. He says that hard work is the key to success when most people don’t believe in you.

Master P proves that he is still clever and with rhymes in his lyrics. Here are some examples:

A nigga winning like Charlie Sheen
Fuck her good, she will cook a nigga collie green

Let the record play I’m back nigga, Al Green
God bitches popping for them green beans
Standing over niggas like I’m ya’ll maine
A nigga winning like Charlie Sheen
Fuck her good, she will cook a nigga collie green

The Colonel of The Tank shares game about preparation, ownership and education with everyone including professional athletes and entertainers on Need To Know. “If you gettin’ money this the shit you need to know.” He kept real and keeps telling the truth. This is the realest shit Master P ever wrote and ever spoke. Rap is missing real lyricism like this.

This is the shit they don’t want you to know. But if you gettin’ money, this is the shit you need to know.

If you don’t want to hear the truth, then just skip past this one. Keep telling lies because the truth hurts. Musicians signed a deal and then they lie about their net worth. You can’t make Forbes and have a 360 deal. I know Everybody’s trying to get that to get that 80/20 deal like Master P did and is trying to get that Rocawear deal.

Record labels and sporting agencies give us one percent and we think we own the team. Musicians signed a record deal but the money don’t match their dream. Then they put these rookies against each other. They used to be homeboys and now they are trying to to kill each other. Musicians even read when they sign these deals.

This is the realist shit Master P ever spoke about income inequality. “While Richard Branson is having fun flying in space/These artists are out here starving and catching a case”

And when you hot, they gon’ let you use their house
And when you not, that’s the day they kick you out
While Richard Branson is having fun flying in space
These artists are out here starving and catching a case
I don’t know what they did to Mase
But I heard Ciroc gave Puffy some cake
And these hoes and these jewels will be a young nigga’s downfall

Sporting agencies give players $50 million dollars a game and then they lock them into contracts they can’t get out of. This happens a lot in the sports industry. “They giving like 50 mil’ for playin’ roundball/Then throw your name in the paper/And make it easy access for the haters”

Athletes got financial advisors just to pay their bills. Dre hit with Beats and now every rapper wants that deal. How you gonna make 50 mil’ and go kill a nigga? These athletes use too many steroids. Now these athletes want to be rappers. These rappers make a little money and want to be trappers. Buy a phantom and don’t have a house. These niggas backwards from the inside out. And y’all want to be Kobe ’cause he own the team. Rappers are losing to these sponsors and endorsements. Reality shows think they are creating stars but in reality they are making monsters

Why are we negotiating 360 deals when there is so much technology out there today? We could do our own shit. And why you athletes hookin’ up with business people that never even made money before? To watch your money?
Shit don’t make no sense.

Invest like a 1/3 of your money just in case you need that for a rainy day. You feel me? These strip clubs and cars don’t hold no value. That’s a bad investment. You fall down, you get back up. That’s how hustlers do it. And if you could help your people, you help them. You don’t let them starve. You never know who might be the next you. You get a lot of friends when you got money. But when you don’t have shit, ain’t nobody gon’ fuck with you. Don’t let this be you. You’re never too old or too young to be able to make music or do what you want to do. Have you ever seen a rich PD or on-air personality? anybody ever check their salary?

Get your shit in the streets to your people. Get out there and hustle. Find you somebody with an education or a job. Somebody that could help you. Stop fuckin’ with all these broke hoes. Say you hang around a bunch of broke muthafuckas then you broke. You hang around rich muthafuckas then you rich.

Master P gets into battle mode on I Need an Armored Truck. He explains why he needs himself an armored truck. Master P needs an armored truck for protection as his pockets are hella swole. This armored truck has Fantom doors open up from the other side. His baby mama is richer than your favorite rapper.

He bought a mansion and knocked it down just to do it big No ceilings on the house at 19 feet. Mr. Ice Cream went to Mexico just to see Carlos Slim. If you ain’t heard of him, he is richest man in the world Master P is on some Mayweather shit, He still owns the belt. And he did this shit by his motherfucking self.

Master P explains to use that what don’t kill you just make you stronger on Makes You Stronger. There is no limit to your success. The song also teaches us not to be judgmental about people. Nobody is perfect.

Master P complains about how music doesn’t have any substance these days. So he decides to add some flavor and seasoning to music and for the hood.

[Intro: Master P]
I guess they say music don’t have no substance these days
I’ma just add a lil’ flavor, some season to it
No Limit Forever, Master P, Famous Again
Ghetto motivation
I do this for the hood

Whatever doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. They say life’s a bitch when these haters are on you. How are you going to judge another person when you don’t know them? Ain’t nobody perfect. But somebody is worth it.

Master P outsmarted you fakers. I know you bitches be hatin that. You haters talkin that bullshit. Master P got millions invested and applied knowledge for billions. These industry niggas phony. Master P got his foot up in the door and is now comin’ for the dough. Runnin’ fast like an African!

I rate this album 4/5****!

Review: Master P – No Limit Chronicles Lost Tape

Master P’s No Limit Chronicles Lost Tape was used to celebrate the release of the 5 part Docu-Series on No Limit Chronicles on BET which aired on July 29, 2020. Super producer BlaqnMild graced P’s album with his high quality production. This was the highly anticipated album of 2020. Master P keeps things fresh by discussing relevant and up to date content with today’s audience.

The Colonel of The Tank shares game about preparation, ownership and education with everyone including professional athletes and entertainers on Need To Know. “If you gettin’ money this the shit you need to know.” He kept real and keeps telling the truth. Believe is about believing in yourself in order to become successful. Master P says that hard work is the key to success when most people don’t believe in you. Believing in yourself is the positive Master P is trying to convey in this song. He says that hard work is the key to success when most people don’t believe in you.

Super producer BlaqnMild graced this song with his high quality production and modernized beats. That is how he makes the song sound relevant and modern with contemporary culture. The Ice Cream Man and BlaqnMild stay reinventing themselves.

Peewee Longway and Master P explain how they get they hustle on with their song Cooked Up. Peewee Longway got the hook up and so does Master P.

Still Remember” is another classic about the struggle and the pain. The song explains how to appreciate success and not let success go over your head. The Ice Cream Man stays reinventing himself. Blaqnmild brings out the rhythm for the song. He brings some flavor to modern contemporary culture.

I rate this album 5/5*****!

Review: Master P – Al Capone

Master P’s Al Capone album marked a 5 year comeback for Master P after he had been out of the game for so long. Master P was dabbling into using drill beats popularized by Chicago rappers and SoundCloud in his songs for this comeback album of his. This album was new and experimental for him as one can tell. Lyricism is what contemporary rap is missing in. Highlights on this album include Paper Right and Louis Sheets.

Master P explains to use that what don’t kill you just make you stronger on Louie Sheets. There is no limit to your success. Master P proves there is no hesitation for him to graduate and elevate his education. Master P plans to bring it back with No Limit.

Master P proves that he is still clever and with rhymes in his lyrics. Here are some examples:

A nigga winning like Charlie Sheen
Fuck her good, she will cook a nigga collie green

Let the record play I’m back nigga, Al Green
God bitches popping for them green beans
Standing over niggas like I’m ya’ll maine
A nigga winning like Charlie Sheen
Fuck her good, she will cook a nigga collie green

Master P discusses how he gets his money in order correctly on Paper Right. He also discusses how he used to sell drugs.

Rick has an ounce of crack. He turned that ounce of crack into a whole joint. Then he got that nina and he turned that to a whole point. Master P breaks that ounce of crack down in pounds. He’s never got that brown. He takes that pound of crack to his homies crib and then he breaks it down. Master P used to flood this whole shit just like the surround sound. Omelly is in the kitchen whipping that white cocaine until his nose run.

Then Master P meets his other associate Mill. Mill hit Master P with that trick or treat. Master P took her to the south side of New Orleans and he was right back in the week. Fresh from out of jail cell and right back out there in the streets. Master P was out on bail. Now it’s time for him to pay these lawyers fees. He’s got 30 charges pending against him. Master P ain’t trying to cop out. He’s just looking for a knock out. Master P is a hustler. All night and all day. Master P is a hustler until he gets his paper right. He is on his grind. He don’t sleep.

Master P don’t fuck with you haters and the police. He’s got his young niggas that’ll put ya ass right to sleep. He did it once. Now he’s back, bitch. Look at him. Master P used to be broke and now he is a heavy weight with his status. He is the bread winner who just ate but still is hungry. Hungry for that money. Right back to the block because his hustle game strong.

Master P is so scary to the point where killers won’t fuck with him, associate themselves with him, or do any form of business transactions with him. That is what these lyrics mean,

Out here where these killas be I’m … don’t fuck with me
Black cold pay job, I did it for my hellya

Unanimous decision I don’t see no competition
We beat them to submission, cooking work in gramas kitchen
I’m the bread winner, and I just ate but still I’m hungry
Hungry for that money, with my niggas I’m 100
I’m thugging till the death of me

Hands for that pound fear nigga we ain’t playing fair
I play this game for keeps, big bad wolf, so you sheeps
Bout my paper, I’m a beast ima show up were you sleep
Dressed in all black with the beam all out of focused

Master P had to grind when all he saw is poverty. Plus the economy is terrible. Niggas got tired of being broke. Him and his niggas in the kitchen flip more chickens than church. Don’t ask him to put you on. You weren’t here with him when he was hurting.

I rate this album 5/5*****!

Review: Master P – No Limit Chronicles: The Lost Tape

Master P’s No Limit Chronicles: The Lost Tape was used to celebrate the release of the 5 part Docu-Series on No Limit Chronicles on BET which aired on July 29, 2020.

Rap is missing real lyricism like this.

Believe is about believing in yourself in order to become successful. Master P says that hard work is the key to success when most people don’t believe in you. Believing in yourself is the positive Master P is trying to convey in this song. Super producer BlaqnMild graced this song with his high quality production and modernized beats.

I rate this album 5/5*****!
