YMC Presents Nu Mood – YMC Presents “Nu Mood” E.P. is one of lesser known releases from Nu Mood Orchestra and YMC. This EP got overlooked somehow. Even by YMC fans. The EP is filled with groovy smooth bass lines, thick kicks, futuristic blips, and heavenly ethereal synths. Also nu jazz. This YMC EP uses a jazzy touch of jazz. Orange Lady and Gibraltar are highlights of this YMC EP. YMC is so underrated.
Orange Lady is one of the most ethereal jazzy songs on the EP with futuristic blips and thick kicks. The bass is definitely thumpin’. Orange Lady is a perfect example of tech house. Jazz meets tech house on Orange Lady. Notice the saxophone sample?
Emanelle is continuation of Orange Lady as Emanelle picks up where Orange Lady left off. The song is back by thumpin’ bass lines and luscious handclaps which makes everything seem hypnotic.
Gibraltar is another one of those ethereal jazzy songs on the EP with futuristic blips and thick kicks over tribal and electronic beats. The bass is definitely thumpin’ and lively. Jazz meets tech house on the song Gibraltar. Notice the saxophone sample? Not so hard to miss.
